What began in 2010 as a small, three-day open-air festival under the name “das festival” has evolved over the past decade and a half into one of Switzerland’s most important music festivals. Stars in Town, as the festival has been called since 2012, transforms the Herrenacker and Fronwagplatz in Schaffhausen’s Old Town into a large open-air stage every summer.
From an insider’s secret to a crowd-pleaser
The inaugural edition in 2010 drew around 10,000 visitors over three festival days. The festival grew step by step: to four evenings in 2013, to five in 2015, and now to six evenings spread over two weekends. Attendance has also risen steadily—today, Stars in Town attracts around 60,000 people per year.
The festival has now held 14 editions—and 2026 is set to feature a particularly star-studded lineup: Lenny Kravitz, Sting, Lewis Capaldi, and Macklemore are on the bill. Artists such as Bryan Adams, Toto, Die Toten Hosen, and the Scorpions have already performed at the Herrenacker in previous years—which is no small feat for a festival of this size!

A Partnership from the Very Beginning
One thing that hasn’t changed since the very beginning: our partnership with colada. When it comes to group and partner allocations, Stars in Town consistently relies on our ticketing expertise. Whether it’s VIP guests, sponsors, or business partners with larger allocations—we handle the entire booking and administrative process for these groups.
Last but not least, “Stars in Town” is a home game for colada in the truest sense of the word: right on our doorstep, a partnership was formed here that has endured for 15 years—and we’re proud of that.
Congratulations on your anniversary
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire Stars in Town team on this anniversary and look back with joy on 15 successful years—and forward to future editions, which we hope will bring just as many wonderful concert evenings and satisfied guests!
