A look behind the scenes of our onsite experience with Databricks
When technological efficiency meets real event dynamics, magic is created – or rather: colada in action. At the recent CIO meeting in London, colada had the honor of supporting the onboarding and check-in experience for Databricks directly on site. And with a smooth, secure and intuitive solution that has left an impression on guests and organizers alike.

High-level event, high-end solution
The CIO Meeting is not just any business event. It brings together leading technology decision-makers from across Europe – an ideal place to showcase what seamless digital processes can look like in the real world. This is exactly where colada came into play.
In collaboration with our event partner IEM and the Databricks team, we provided our on-site solution: digital check-in stations, individually branded, lightning-fast and reliable.
Check-in: fast, smart, secure

The guests received personalized invitations in advance – created and sent directly via colada. On-site check-in was contactless via our check-in stations. In just a few seconds, the participants were checked in, their badges printed and they were able to concentrate fully on the event.
Highlights:
- Self-service check-in with intuitive interface
- On-demand badge printing including QR code & branding
- Live tracking of arrival times for the event team
- Real-time statistics on participant activity

Branding & Experience: Databricks-Style
The entire check-in route was designed in Databricks’ corporate look and feel – from the welcome interface at the stations to the badges. For many guests, this was their first touchpoint with the brand at the event – and it was a good one.
Conclusion: digital meets physical – and it works
The onsite deployment of colada in London was a complete success. For Databricks, this meant a professional appearance from the very first moment, full control over the flow of participants and valuable insights into event performance. For us: further confirmation that digital processes can make real encounters even better.
