Scanning at events must first and foremost be simple, fast and reliable. As the scanner is often operated by external support staff hired for the event, operation must be as intuitive as possible.

It’s never been so easy! We call any device that has Internet access, a browser and a camera a scanner. That’s it. That’s all it needs. No app, no download, no approval. The colada.assistant scanning service is a web app designed to run on any device.

Event planners should be able to create the (virtual) scanners in colada and distribute them to the staff on site – at best without being on site themselves.

Security: Stay anonymous with scan mode A

Mode A can be activated on any device. Either via a QR code that is distributed or a link.
In this mode, the person operating the scanner can see after the scanning process whether the code is valid and, if the code is personalized, the name of the person scanned. However, they do not have access to the guest list at any time. It is therefore also possible to use a private device for scanning guests and there is no need for dedicated hardware.

The Scanner ABC

The scanner can be called up directly using the event QR or link. The horizontal stripe shows that the scanner is in standby mode.

It also shows whether you are in check-in or check-out mode, which station number you have and how many guests have already been checked in overall.

As soon as the scanner detects a QR, it is scanned and checked.

A successful scan is acknowledged with a green box. The name is also displayed for personalized events.

If the QR code has already been used, this is also indicated with a red box and the corresponding content.

For events where guests are to be checked out, you can simply switch to check-out mode. From then on, the process is identical to check-in.

If an incorrect or invalid code is scanned or the code of a guest that does not contain a valid ticket, this will be displayed accordingly.

It can be that simple…
