Efficient management of digital content is the key to making all images, texts, fonts and logos available at all times during events – and a further step towards limitless collaboration.
Basics: Back office and front end
Like every DAM, colada.assets consists of a back office and a front end – the area where data is entered and edited, and the area where the assets are presented and made available for further processing.
Back office: simpler is better
The workflow is very simple:
- Create guideline (corresponds to a project in colada.assets)
- Upload assets – if desired in connection with a release or a status
- Create collections from existing assets

The basic idea of asset management in colada is that the navigation on the left-hand side displays the different asset types. These can be managed uniformly at this level. All images, all fonts or icons, etc.
Collections can then be created from this potentially large pool, i.e. specific folders that can be freely defined and populated with a wide variety of assets . A collection could be called “Launch”, for example, and contain all the texts and photos that are to be provided for a launch. These collections can then be selected individually in the frontend.
The details of an asset are divided into static data, such as description or tags, and dynamic data, such as status or history. However, it is also important to be able to comment on the assets – with mentions from colleagues so that they are notified accordingly. You can also create your own tasks for the assets. This is very helpful if further work is to be done on the assets. This evolution can then be seen in the continuous versioning.

Frontend: Click & Go
Thanks to the direct integration of the frontend in colada.pages, the assets page can be integrated directly as a separate page type. The design, styles and fonts of your own page are adopted and provided directly.
Depending on how the assets are to be offered, the images can be displayed in a more technical way, as in this example…

… as a lightbox, as in this example

The content of the assets that are output can be divided into collections. This can all be defined in the page settings.
Conclusion: Assets never disappear into chaos again
colada.assets enables efficient management of digital content, guaranteeing fast delivery of all materials at events and taking collaboration to a new level!
